Fire Department - News Release Application

The Riverside County Fire Department needed a way to publish incident information quickly and efficiently. On an almost daily basis they were sending hundreds of faxes and frequently handled calls. Our solution allows the Fire Department to publish their "Incident Fact Sheets" and News Releases to the public and press in real time. This solution gives the public and press access to information quicker, while keeping the cost of delivery very low.

Application Components: This web application was built with Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) utilizing Java Server Pages, Servlets, and Java Beans with a Model-View-Controller design pattern running on Tomcat web container in Microsoft IIS Windows 2000 environment.

Web Pages: HTML and JavaScript.

DBMS: Oracle 8.1.7 running on HP-UX.
